For height measurements, all players will be required to remove their shoes.

Most NBA players were upset by this, as they don’t play without shoes on.

The height will be rounded to the nearest inch. Weight measurements will be less strict, as players tend to gain or lose weight quite frequently in the league.

The new rule change is believed to come from the NBA’s mistake last year with Sacramento King’s guard Buddy Hield having his age inaccurately reported, claiming he was a year younger than he really was.
